Newsies themed nails : Round 2

I've been in a very Newsies mood lately, so I thought it would be fun to do another alcohol transfer. This time, my impatience got the better of me, so a little bit did not stick, and even one part is upside down! Oh well. Base is a color workshop nude.

Ain't it a fine life...

Since seeing a newspaper print manicure on The Daily Nail I became interested very quickly. After a couple trial and errors, I've gotten to the point where I feel comfortable transferring printed things from the computer onto my nails via rubbing alcohol.



I used three coats of a cocoa color from Hot Topic, and used lyrics from the opening song to the movie Newsies ('Carrying the Banner') as a transfer. Still working on keeping the ink from smearing a little bit, but over all, I like how it turned out.
