I end up doing my nails practically every day, but don't always take photos of what I do. Mostly because it doesn't turn out as I hoped, or it gets chipped while at work... This one is from Tuesday.

I used two coats of Wet 'n Wild 'sparked'. It's a bit gritty, even with a top coat, but I like it. It's a sweet dusty pink glitter with a bit of silver mixed in as well.

Until next time, later days!

Batty

I have done my nails several times since the last post, but alas, they all got chipped while at work, so no photos of those.

Today I decided to go back to one of my staples, black nail polish. I'm not going to lie, most of my clothes are black, so it goes with everything.

I used two coats of Rimmel London's 'black satin', Konad plate c04 with an uncheap (gasp!) polish from OPI's line for Sephora called 'queen of everything'. I like the way 'queen of everything' stamped. Probably the best non-special polish I've used.

Well, until next time, later days!

More 3D Holographic

While out last week, I once again found myself in front of the Milani display at CVS. They were fully stocked, but I decided to only pick up one more 3D holographic.

I used two coats of Wet 'n Wild 'french white creme' and two coats of Milani 'HD'. It's a fantastic silver, but I thought it looked strange on its own, so I used Rimmel London's 'black satin' and Konad Coraline plates c01-c05.

Until next time, later days!

Pink Hottie

Today, following the advice of my sister, I used Milani's 'pink hottie' neon.

I used four coats. This time, I did not use a white undercoat, and surprisingly, it is still very bright. Over top I used Konad plate m60 and Pure Ice 'silver mercedes', which was really odd when stamping. It came off like silver leafing, rather than what I've been used to outside of non-Konad polishes. It still has a nice overall look to it that I like.

Until next time, later days!

Check the Sweet

Today, I was inspired by a dress hanging in my closet. The print is called 'sweet check' by the lolita brand Baby, the Stars Shine Bright. The one I have is in the mint colorway.

I used three coats of Sinful Colors 'mint apple'. This one is really cute, and has a nice shimmer to it. I also used the gems from Target on my thumb, middle and pinky. I've been a little afraid of the gems falling off, but after a bit of playing with some goo made by cornstarch and water, I feel that they are stuck on nice and tight.

Well, until next time, later days!

Milani 3D Holographic Take III

The last Milani 3D holographic I had bought a while ago called 'cyberspace'.

I absolutely love this one! I first put on two coats of Sally Hansen natural (which came from an old French manicure kit), and then three coats of cyberspace. It was good in one coat, but since I am a bit on the clumsy side, I bumped my nails a few times, so I just layered it over. Oh well.

Until next time, later days!

Maybelline 'Pie in the Sky'

On a recent buying spree, I got sucked into a sugary sweet looking display by Maybelline. It's the new spring collection. Today I have on 'Pie in the Sky'.

I used three coats, and it was for the most part, opaque. On top, I used Konad's special polish in white with plate m60, and Sally Hansen 'celeb city' with plate m11. The blue has a sweet spring feel to it, but it also reminds me of winter at the same time. Very lovely.

From the same collection, I bought 'bubble pink', but do not have any photos of that yet. Maybe soon I will take some. Until next time, later days!

Pink and Purple Gems

Yesterday, I found some awesome nail gems in the dollar section at Target, so naturally, I had to try them out.

I used three coats of Rimmel London's 'posh pink' and added the gems to the middle while the polish was tacky. Once it was all dried, I put two coats of seche vite over top of the gemmed nail, and just one on the others. Rimmel London's nail polish brushes are amazing. They're large, flat, and so much easier to put on. I certainly will be buying more from them.

Until next time, later days.

Sunglasses and beret

Today's was inspired by the 90's Nickelodeon cartoon, Doug. More specifically, Judy Funnie, Doug's older sister. I always tend to associate purple and black with her.

I used Sinful Colors 'snow me white' as the base. I must not have good luck with whites at all because it was the same as the Pure Ice white. Very streaky. I used two coats. On top of that, I used three coats of Milani's 'hi-res' 3D holographic. It worked out a bit better than 'hi-tech' did. I like it a lot. On the tip I used L.A. Colors Art Deco in black.

L.A. Colors Art Deco can be found at Forever 21, if I recall correctly.

Until next time, later days!

Och Aye!

I was a little inspired by Craig Ferguson.

I used Sinful Colors 'black on black' as the base. It is the most fabulous black I've encountered! One coat was perfectly opaque. I used Konad plate CO3 for the terrier with Sally Hansen 'celeb lights', and M60 for the tartan and Sally Hansen 'emerald city'. It unfortunately does not show up too well. I was quite disappointed. The green is far too deep. The seche top coat I used did bring it out a bit, but not as much as I had hoped. Oh well.

Until next time, later days!
