I pulled my memory card from my wii and was surprised to find an old photo on it!

The only thing recognizable is Revlon's 'Slipper' glitter top coat.

Now, for today I have another Monster High polish. Two coats of Lagoona Blue with Hot Topic teal glitter on the top.

Still have Draculaura, Cleo De Nile and Clawdeen Wolf to get through. Until then, later days!

Frankie Stein

Earlier this month, I managed to find a set of Monster High nail polishes at Justice. Finally I am giving them a try.

I used two coats of Frankie Stein, a nice blue. To go along with the Frankie motif, I used Pure Ice 'silver mercedes' with Konad plate m60, and Sinful Colors 'black on black' with Konad plate m13.

Hopefully I will be able to get through all the Monster High polishes before my vacation is over. Later days!

Monday, December 20, 2010

It's been a little while, but here's a couple photos from recent.

This is what I have had for a couple days now. I used two coats of an old Victoria's Secret polish, 'decadence' with a Bundle Monster plate over the tips with Sinful's 'black on black'.

Milani had come out with a line of Rockstar glitters. I decided to pick up 'gold glitz' for a change. Their bottle says one coat, but I wasn't too happy with one, so I put on two. It's very, very thick glitter, and I love it.

That's it for now! Later days, everyone.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Today, I decided to try something a little different - every nail a different color. It may not be spring, but I thought pastels would go well with gold glitter.

From thumb to pinkie: franken purple, franken yellow, Hard Candy 'sky', Sally Hansen 'poetic peony', and L.A. Colors white. Over top of that I used both Sally Hansen 'diamonds' and Elf 'golden goddess' glitters.

Well, that's it for now. Later days!

Sunday, November 21, 2010

During a trip to Wal-Mart recently, I found that Hard Candy has come out with a couple new colors.

I used three coats of 'sky', Halloween black with a Bundle Monster plate and called it a day. The base polish itself has a bit of a blue shimmer to it, that was caught in my photo along the corner of the bottle.

That's it for now. Later days!

I'm With Conan

Anyone who knows me knows I love Conan O'Brien. When NBC screwed him out of The Tonight Show, it was a sad, sad day. Until he got a new show on TBS, that airs tonight at 11 PM. In my excitement, I had to paint my nails for the occasion.

I used two coats of Halloween black nail polish, two coats of Halloween white nail polish, and two coats of Milani 'orange graph' as the bases. I then reused the Halloween white, black and Milani orange for the lettering/art, and a Halloween orange and black glitter for my right hand thumb.

Unfortunately, my hands look as though they've been through a garbage disposal. Oh well. Later days, everyone!

Saturday, November 6, 2010

This is what happens when you forget to upload things from your camera. I've had a couple of these for weeks now, but forgetfulness overcame me until tonight.

I did this for October 20th's 'wear purple' day. I used a franken purple, a halloween white, and Wet 'n Wild black.

Several months ago, I had gotten those cool looking layered nail polishes at Claire's. Unfortunately it did not work out very well, so I decided to shake the bottle. This lovely purple was the result. I then used a bundle monster plate over it with a Wet 'n Wild black.

This will probably forever be my favorite manicure. I used a Wet 'n Wild pink, Halloween bottle white, and Wet 'n Wild black. Mostly bundle monster plates were used with the larger bat from a Coraline Konad plate.

This is another polish I've had forever, but just recently have I been warming up to nude polish colors. Bundle monster plates were used with this, though not very well. Wet 'n Wild black and a silver Pure Ice for the crown.

This is from today. I think I love Hot Topic glitters. I used three coats of this teal glitter, and it has been on my nails for 2 days now with almost no problems at all. I'm very surprised, as most times, my nail polishes do not last through a night at work.

Hoping to get back into the swing of things, photos and all, as most of these are quite recent. Until then, later days!

Ain't it a fine life...

Since seeing a newspaper print manicure on The Daily Nail I became interested very quickly. After a couple trial and errors, I've gotten to the point where I feel comfortable transferring printed things from the computer onto my nails via rubbing alcohol.

I used three coats of a cocoa color from Hot Topic, and used lyrics from the opening song to the movie Newsies ('Carrying the Banner') as a transfer. Still working on keeping the ink from smearing a little bit, but over all, I like how it turned out.

That's it for now, later days!

Monday, September 27, 2010

Here's another small backlog of photos. I will finally start posting more regularly very soon. Every base polish in my photos are scented! I didn't realize that until just now.

Hot Topic's 'green apple' which really does smell like green apples! I love the color, and the scent, too.

Revlon's 'gumdrop'. Posted it before. Coraline is Konaded over top.

Another Hot Topic scented 'orange'. I couldn't smell this one as well as the green. It might just be me, though. Halloween goodness Konaded on.

Well, later days!

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Been a while, yes. I'm patiently waiting for my nails to grow out a bit more, but here's what I've been sporting for a couple days now.

It's a franken consisting of Sinful Colors 'secret admirer' and 'love bite' in a Sally Hansen bottle that still had a small amount of black in it.

Well, that's about it for now. Until next time, later days!

Back, back, back!

Been on vacation, come back home. Yes, I've been neglectful of here. I've got a ton of new stuff, and I'll get around to taking photos of them soon. For now, here's a little backlog.

Pretty Pink Flowers

I feel like I've been getting very lazy with taking photos. This one is most recent, though. From yesterday!

I bought the very sheer pink at Walgreens on Monday, and finally got to use it. I first used two coats of Wet 'n Wild's 'break the ice', which is becoming a real favorite of mine. I then used two coats of Sinful Colors 'glass pink' and then Konad plate co2 with Maybelline 'pink shock'.

I've got a few other new polishes, and am going to try out the new glitter I got on Monday as well. It doesn't look like much in the bottle, but hopefully it will look better out. Until next time, later days!

Monday, June 21, 2010

I saw a similar manicure on another nail blog, and I thought the 'accent nail' looked really cool, so I decided to try it out.

I used two coats of the unnamed Rimmel London purple, and two coats of a grey somewhat glittery franken I have had for a bit of time. Over top I used Sally Hansen's 'diamonds'. Black and purple seems to be a recurring theme here. I don't know why. I just like them together.

Well, until next time, later days!

Puttin' on the Glitz

I've been on a little bit of a glitter kick recently.

After a long time searching, I found this bottle of Wet 'n Wild's 'glitz' at Wal-Mart on Sunday. I was so happy, as it was the last bottle, and I had been unable to find it until then. I used two coats of another Wet 'n Wild, 'break the ice', and then three coats of 'glitz'. I wish it was a little bit more glittery, but oh well.

While shopping at Target today, I had found that Sally Hansen has released a very similar glitter, but it had darker blue flakes in it compared to this one.

Well, until next time, later days!

Friday, June 11, 2010

This is an oldie, but goodie, and I hadn't noticed until now that the tips were a little chipped. I've had this on for a couple days. Sorry!

I used two coats of Vinyl by Deborah Lippmann's 'Roxanne'. I wish I had gotten more of these when Bath and Body Works sold them. I really like this because of the small flecks of red glitter in it.

Well, until next time, later days!

Rumple's Wiggin'

I've had this photo for a while, but have been forgetting to upload/post about it!

I used four coats of OPI's 'Rumple's Wiggin', and one coat of Sinful 'I miss you'. I've been getting into glitters recently, even if they're a bit hard to get off from time to time.

Well, that's it for now, and until next time, later days!

What's with the Cattitude?

I've used the Shrek OPI 'What's with the Cattitude?' twice now, but no photos of the first, so here's the second.

I used three coats of it, and then one coat of Hard Candy 'break up' over top. I like that it not only had the large bits of glitter, but also micro specs through out. Too bad Hard Candy doesn't make more glitters like that. Oh well.

Until next time, later days!

Super Star Glitter

Every time I use this polish, girls I work with ask if I get 'rockstar nails', which apparently are super glittery.

I used one coat of the Victoria's Secret polish, one of Milani's 'HD', and another of the silver. I like the effect of the 3D holographic between the layers of pure glitter. It will be a nightmare to get off, though, so I'll keep it for a bit.

Until next time, later days!

Bite the Bullet

It's taken me a while to hunt down this color. Every time I'd been to Wal-Mart, Target, and Rite Aid, they've always been sold out. Finally, I got a little bit of luck and managed to pick it up at a Target.

I used two coats of 'bite the bullet' over one coat of Wet 'n Wild 'hush hush'. On top I used Konad plate s10 and Sally Hansen 'celeb city'. I'm so happy I finally tracked it down.

Until next time, later days.

Who the Shrek are You?

I only purchased three of the Shrek OPI collection polishes. I'm starting off with 'Who the Shrek are You?'.

This took three coats. I really like this one. It's a really nice avocado green. On the tips I (sloppily) used L.A. Colors black Art Deco. Nothing fancy.

Until next time, later days!

I loveded you...

While lurking the mall, I found in Hot Topic's clearance section a whole bunch of Nickelodeon's Invader Zim Gir nail polishes. They were all marked down to 98 cents, so I couldn't pass it up.

An unnamed blindingly bright yellow. I compared it to the Milani neon, and it is a whole lot brighter, even in one coat. Very crazy. On top, I used Sally Hansen 'blue it' and Konad plates m60 and m13.

Today I went and bought a couple new Shrek polishes by OPI I cannot wait to try them out.

Until next time, later days!

Gold and Brown

I had picked out the Konad plate/design before I decided on a color, but I think it turned out fairly cute. Even if it appears that one nail got chipped mysteriously.

Used four coats of Wet 'n Wild 'goldmine'. It's really sheer, and finally after four it looked good. On top of that, I used Konad plate s10 and a franken made from an ancient Lancome (gasp!), Petites 'shimmer bark' and a few drops of a random black to darken it.

Until next time, later days!

Flowers and Bunnies

I've been getting behind on photos and posting. Not that there's anyone reading, LOL. This is from this past Sunday.

I wanted to keep it light and delicate looking, so I used one coat of Wet 'n Wild 'break the ice' and used an unnamed Rimmel for the lovely purple flowers. Called it a day at that.

Due to a couple of my nails being super thin at the tips and peeling, I forced myself to cut them off and start anew. This is the aftermath.

I used two coats of Petites 'black diamond' and a bunny and cross bones decal. 'Black diamond' is fantastic. It has the look of Milani's 3D holographic polishes. Really fantastic. Petites brad can be bought at Rite Aid and Wal-Mart (I think).

Well, until next time, later days!

Yummy Cotton Candy!

This is from last Saturday.

I used four coats of Revlon's 'cotton candy', which has a delicious smell to match the name. I also picked up some cute decals a couple days before, and tried it out. I love the smell of the nail polish. I'm surprised it stayed through the top coat.

Until next time, later days!

Thursday, April 29, 2010

I end up doing my nails practically every day, but don't always take photos of what I do. Mostly because it doesn't turn out as I hoped, or it gets chipped while at work... This one is from Tuesday.

I used two coats of Wet 'n Wild 'sparked'. It's a bit gritty, even with a top coat, but I like it. It's a sweet dusty pink glitter with a bit of silver mixed in as well.

Until next time, later days!

Batty

I have done my nails several times since the last post, but alas, they all got chipped while at work, so no photos of those.

Today I decided to go back to one of my staples, black nail polish. I'm not going to lie, most of my clothes are black, so it goes with everything.

I used two coats of Rimmel London's 'black satin', Konad plate c04 with an uncheap (gasp!) polish from OPI's line for Sephora called 'queen of everything'. I like the way 'queen of everything' stamped. Probably the best non-special polish I've used.

Well, until next time, later days!

More 3D Holographic

While out last week, I once again found myself in front of the Milani display at CVS. They were fully stocked, but I decided to only pick up one more 3D holographic.

I used two coats of Wet 'n Wild 'french white creme' and two coats of Milani 'HD'. It's a fantastic silver, but I thought it looked strange on its own, so I used Rimmel London's 'black satin' and Konad Coraline plates c01-c05.

Until next time, later days!

Pink Hottie

Today, following the advice of my sister, I used Milani's 'pink hottie' neon.

I used four coats. This time, I did not use a white undercoat, and surprisingly, it is still very bright. Over top I used Konad plate m60 and Pure Ice 'silver mercedes', which was really odd when stamping. It came off like silver leafing, rather than what I've been used to outside of non-Konad polishes. It still has a nice overall look to it that I like.

Until next time, later days!

Check the Sweet

Today, I was inspired by a dress hanging in my closet. The print is called 'sweet check' by the lolita brand Baby, the Stars Shine Bright. The one I have is in the mint colorway.

I used three coats of Sinful Colors 'mint apple'. This one is really cute, and has a nice shimmer to it. I also used the gems from Target on my thumb, middle and pinky. I've been a little afraid of the gems falling off, but after a bit of playing with some goo made by cornstarch and water, I feel that they are stuck on nice and tight.

Well, until next time, later days!

Milani 3D Holographic Take III

The last Milani 3D holographic I had bought a while ago called 'cyberspace'.

I absolutely love this one! I first put on two coats of Sally Hansen natural (which came from an old French manicure kit), and then three coats of cyberspace. It was good in one coat, but since I am a bit on the clumsy side, I bumped my nails a few times, so I just layered it over. Oh well.

Until next time, later days!

Maybelline 'Pie in the Sky'

On a recent buying spree, I got sucked into a sugary sweet looking display by Maybelline. It's the new spring collection. Today I have on 'Pie in the Sky'.

I used three coats, and it was for the most part, opaque. On top, I used Konad's special polish in white with plate m60, and Sally Hansen 'celeb city' with plate m11. The blue has a sweet spring feel to it, but it also reminds me of winter at the same time. Very lovely.

From the same collection, I bought 'bubble pink', but do not have any photos of that yet. Maybe soon I will take some. Until next time, later days!

Pink and Purple Gems

Yesterday, I found some awesome nail gems in the dollar section at Target, so naturally, I had to try them out.

I used three coats of Rimmel London's 'posh pink' and added the gems to the middle while the polish was tacky. Once it was all dried, I put two coats of seche vite over top of the gemmed nail, and just one on the others. Rimmel London's nail polish brushes are amazing. They're large, flat, and so much easier to put on. I certainly will be buying more from them.

Until next time, later days.

Sunglasses and beret

Today's was inspired by the 90's Nickelodeon cartoon, Doug. More specifically, Judy Funnie, Doug's older sister. I always tend to associate purple and black with her.

I used Sinful Colors 'snow me white' as the base. I must not have good luck with whites at all because it was the same as the Pure Ice white. Very streaky. I used two coats. On top of that, I used three coats of Milani's 'hi-res' 3D holographic. It worked out a bit better than 'hi-tech' did. I like it a lot. On the tip I used L.A. Colors Art Deco in black.

L.A. Colors Art Deco can be found at Forever 21, if I recall correctly.

Until next time, later days!

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Och Aye!

I was a little inspired by Craig Ferguson.

I used Sinful Colors 'black on black' as the base. It is the most fabulous black I've encountered! One coat was perfectly opaque. I used Konad plate CO3 for the terrier with Sally Hansen 'celeb lights', and M60 for the tartan and Sally Hansen 'emerald city'. It unfortunately does not show up too well. I was quite disappointed. The green is far too deep. The seche top coat I used did bring it out a bit, but not as much as I had hoped. Oh well.

Until next time, later days!

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Today, I have a nice, bright neon manicure!

I used two coats of Pure Ice's 'Super Star' as the base, Milani's neon 'Totally 80's' over top of that, and finally, Milani's 3d holographic 'Hi-Tech' on top. Super Star is a little streaky, even after two coats, but since I was going to put others over top, I felt it was all right. Totally 80's really does come out awesome when put over white, as the bottle says. Hi-Tech, like Super Star was a little streaky, but it isn't too noticeable since it's glitter. Over all, I think today's turned out all right.

Pure Ice is available at Wal-Mart, and Milani can be found at CVS, and Target as far as I know.

Until next time, later days!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

Today I have to show off the ever-popular cheap brand, Wet 'n Wild. I picked this polish up at a new Wal-Mart in town this past week.

The name is "night prowl". It's a black base with purple glitter in it. That photo is two coats. Once dry, it feels a little rough, but a top coat of seche vite smooths it out a bit, though still with a touch of roughness. On the thumb, middle, and pinky, I used Konad plate m60 and used Sally Hansen "celeb lights".

I know I am not very good at painting my nails. Maybe one day I will get better at it. Stay tuned for tomorrow and future posts!
