I saw a similar manicure on another nail blog, and I thought the 'accent nail' looked really cool, so I decided to try it out.

I used two coats of the unnamed Rimmel London purple, and two coats of a grey somewhat glittery franken I have had for a bit of time. Over top I used Sally Hansen's 'diamonds'. Black and purple seems to be a recurring theme here. I don't know why. I just like them together.

Well, until next time, later days!

  1. That is a gorgeous purple. In person, is it more a darker shade of purple, or is it a nice lilac colour? I'm looking for a nice lilac or lavender colour!

  2. It's a bit of a strange purple. It has some blue undertones, and is shimmery. The photo is pretty true to color. OPI's 'Rumple's Wiggin' and Revlon's 'gumdrop' (which I both have) are much lighter, but they might be hard to hunt down now. You could try to mix your own, which isn't too complicated. Start with a lot of white in an empty bottle and add purple as needed. You can get empty bottles from beauty supply stores.
